About
Expanded Horizons
Workplaces across the human-services and community-services sectors are powered by talented, passionate, values-driven people who pour their hearts into serving others and their communities. Yet with limited resources and relentless demands, these professionals often stretch themselves too thin—leading to blurred boundaries, reactive decision-making, and burnout.
I know this intimately because I lived it. After more than two decades in education—including years as a secondary school principal—a very public human rights crisis at my school led to months of community upheaval. Despite my best efforts, I burned out and left a career I loved, years ahead of schedule. That painful chapter became an unexpected turning point.
Through my own journey of reinvention, I discovered the transformative power of values-based decision-making and intentional living. I went back to school, this time as a student, became an ICF-certified coach, and founded Expanded Horizons with a clear mission: to help leaders and professionals in service-oriented fields build sustainable, meaningful work and lives—without sacrificing themselves in the process.
